Privacy Policy & Educational Data Commitment

At ScaleSense Classroom Lab, we prioritize student confidentiality, educational integrity, and transparent data practices. Learn how our spatial reasoning tools and lesson materials safeguard your classroom.

1. Scope & Educational Purpose

ScaleSense Classroom Lab is an interactive educational resource dedicated to helping educators and students master 3D spatial estimation, scale conversion, and dimensional analysis. This Privacy Policy clarifies how our instructional platform handles information when visitors inspect our learning modules, reference material, and downloadable lesson guidelines.

We design all learning exercises around data minimization. Our tools and computational simulators operate client-side whenever possible to give schools robust interactive experiences without harvesting personal identifiers.

2. Information We Collect

We categorize the limited information collected across our instructional laboratory into two distinct areas:

Direct Communications Data

When an educator, school administrator, or guardian contacts us via our official contact form, we collect their name, work or personal email address, school affiliation (if provided), and the specific inquiry message. We use this exclusively to resolve questions or provide pedagogical support.

Aggregated Technical Telemetry

Our servers automatically record standard anonymous network telemetry including browser type, operating system version, referring uniform resource locators, and timestamps. This non-personally identifiable diagnostic data assists us in keeping laboratory modules responsive across school tablet carts, Chromebooks, and computer lab configurations.

3. Academic Data Usage & Processing

Information collected through ScaleSense Classroom Lab is strictly applied to academic and operational goals:

  • Fulfilling teacher inquiries, resource requests, and curricular consultation via our direct desk.
  • Verifying browser performance and spatial simulator rendering across low-bandwidth school networks.
  • Ensuring digital integrity, combating denial-of-service disruptions, and maintaining classroom uptime.
  • Auditing pedagogical accuracy of exercises published across our Lessons and Exercises section.

We never sell, rent, monetize, or broker personal records to brokers, data syndicates, or commercial marketing agencies under any circumstances.

4. Student Privacy & Children's Safeguards

ScaleSense Classroom Lab prioritizes student privacy in alignment with international educational standards, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Our hands-on dimensional converters and estimation challenges do not require student account registration, student names, home addresses, or student ID numbers.

If a school, instructor, or parent discovers that an underage student has transmitted personal information through our contact channels without authorized parental or school consent, please inform us immediately through our contact portal, and we will promptly purge the data from our communication records.

5. Storage, Security & Encryption

We deploy layered technical and administrative safeguards to maintain the integrity of our platform and user submissions:

TLS 1.3 In-Transit

All network requests between classroom terminals and our servers are encrypted with modern Transport Layer Security standards.

Confined Storage

Inbound contact correspondence is housed in secure, access-controlled repositories with multi-factor authentication.

Data retention is restricted to the duration necessary to satisfy pedagogical or administrative correspondence, after which obsolete message records are securely deleted.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

To deliver reliable static assets and curriculum documents, we utilize certified infrastructure providers for web hosting and content delivery network (CDN) management. These vendors process operational IP packets strictly as necessary to route laboratory pages efficiently to educational institutions.

Each hosting partner is selected based on rigorous data protection terms ensuring they do not use instructional network packets for behavioral profiling or third-party marketing.

7. Educator, Parent & User Rights

Regardless of your jurisdiction, we uphold the following fundamental user prerogatives for visitors and educational staff:

  • Right of Access: You may request a summary of any direct communication records associated with your email address.
  • Right of Rectification: You may correct outdated pedagogical inquiries or profile correspondence sent to our administration.
  • Right to Erasure: You can request the permanent deletion of your contact submissions at any moment.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We never deny educational resources, lesson blueprints, or tool access to any classroom asserting privacy choices.

8. Policy Governance & Contact Inquiries

We review our privacy practices annually to reflect evolving classroom technologies, curriculum updates, and regional legal standards. When modifications are published, the revised effective date at the head of this policy will be adjusted accordingly.
